In today's lecture we were told about what the unit is on (which is accessing knowledge through library and information & communications techonlogies) and how this unit is going to benefit our studies. The lecture covered all aspects of what programs are being used and what we can achieve with these programs.
Summary of today's tutorial:
During the tutorial i learnt how to use Blackboard and access unit resources. Learning how to use Blackboard. Learning how to use Blackboard and being able to access unit resources is very helpful because from there I can access my lecture's slides and see what this week's tutorial is on which enables me to prepare myself better.
Reading 1 Summary- ‘PC Lube & Tune’
The PC Lube and Tune website is used as a means to educate people on the computer "jargen" and what certain words or abbrieviations mean. Many hyperlinks on this website go to other web pages which explain in more detail their heading.
Reading 2 Summary- ‘How Stuff Works’
This website talks about how a computer works, what it is made up of and what different functions it is capable of. This homepage shows the various components of the computer and when these parts are clicked on they go into more detail of what each part does and its function in the bigger scheme of things.
